Pascal Schiele
As they say, "Schiele has Riesling in his blood." His family goes back to the 15th century in the village of Ammerschwihr in the Alsace region, which is about 8 miles from the town of Bergheim, where Gustave Lorentz is located. Both his great-grandfather and grandfather were winemakers, and two of his uncles were producing and selling their own wines in Ammerschwihr, the third largest village in Alsace in terms of vineyard-planted land.
GUSTAVE LORENTZ Since 1836
One family, one village, seven generations of winemakers.
Founded in 1836, Maison Gustave Lorentz owns 33 hectares of land on the slopes of Bergheim, in the heart of the Alsace wine region.
"The essence of our wines arises from the close relationship between grape variety, terroir, and climate." These immortal words from Gustave Lorentz, the founder of this renowned Alsatian estate, permeate all aspects of the winemaking and viticulture process, and this has been the case since its founding in 1836.
Gustave Lorentz was one of the first producers in Alsace to use stelvin closures and obtained Ecocert organic certification in 2012.
